I recently read an article in Community Impact

about a couple who created a new web site

for local parents to find activities for their children.

I was a little confused about this article,

because I know of

quite a few

different resources

with calendars listing

local events.

Even I have one

…and if you search for events and the city name

plenty others pop up, too.

I do not think we have a shortage of calendars.

I do think we should be working together

to make our disconnected community

feel a little more connected.

I know as a parent,

I feel very isolated.

I know there are a lot of

Mom’s Groups

Classes

and

events in the area.

Yet,

I continue to speak to parents who feel isolated.

I think businesses should begin to work together to support each other.

I’m not sure how to make that happen just yet,

but I want us to be a more cohesive community.

Is that possible?
